Editor's Note:  Notice the hallmarks of a scammer ad:
  1. General lack of specifics in the ad. 
  2. General too-good-to-be trueness in the ad. 
  3. Makes it believable / acceptable that they are new to the area and/or just passing through.
  4. Pictures are always of hot babes.
  5. No phone number ... you have to email them through the craigslist anonymous email system to get 'more information'.

Editor's Note:  Notice the hallmarks of a scammer reply:
  1. They are just passing through.  Convenient as that makes it impossible for any local references or checks.  It also ads a sense of urgency and tries to get you thinking more with the little head rather than the big head.
  2. They continue the too-good-to-be-true feel of the whole thing.  Once again, to get you thinkin' with the little head.
  3. Then comes the hook ... you gotta use something like sexkey or fevkey in order to get the juicy details and/or to schedule with them.  Of course, they say these services are "free" when in fact they are not.  People report that they get charged a $20-30 charge on their charge account (which is required for these "free" account sign-ups -- yah right, credit card information is the only way to verify your age and identity ... right.  Most people who are duped by this won't bother to go through the hassle of challenging the relatively small charge, but since these scammers get enough folks to fall for it that they make a hefty chunk of change off the scam.)
  4. The website they send you to does a good job of looking a lot like a real provider's site.  The give away, once again, is the required use of the sexkey/fevkey check.
  5. Guys who have been duped say that after they do sign up for sexkey/fevkey that it is difficult to cancel the recurring charges and the information that they get on the providers ends up being a dead-end.    
  6. Don't confuse the scammers like sexkey and fevkey with legitimate verification sites (e.g. Preferred 411 and DateCheck) that are upfront about their fees.  The difference is they provide a real service for the fee charged and legitimate providers utilize their services for reference checking / verification.
